Birthday Fun

On her actual birthday, we had a fun Mommy/Daughter day with some shopping, some playing, (unfortunately a trip to the doctor and antibiotics for an ear infection) and eating where Jules wanted to eat. She spent a couple of hours with Daddy in the late afternoon and then we all met up for dinner. Grandparents, parents and Aunt Meredith all made it for the dinner. Jules got to wear one of her princess dresses that Santa brought her for her birthday dinner. She's been dying to wear one of these outside of the house. :-D


Her Birthday Party was held on Saturday. She loved the bounce house birthday party! I think we all had fun!





Sunday morning, after all of the festivities, Jules wandered out of her bedroom and the first thing she said to me was "Mommy, thank you for all my presents." with a sweet little smile. :-D Maybe we're doing something right.
I reminded her that lots of her friends and family gave her these presents.

Being Three

I got a text message from Jeff yesterday afternoon that said this:

She is singing a song from church today, "this is the day, this is the day that the George has made..."

I laughed until I cried.

I will attempt to update about her lovely birthday weekend soon. I must find my camera. :-)

Teeny Tiny Baby

This is how Jules explains newborn babies. She has a new cousin. Jeff's sister Jennifer had her baby this morning. Welcome to Jules' new cousin Claire!

Their birthdays are only three days apart.

Preparation

Our good friends have a new house with a pool, and they asked if we wanted to take swim lessons with them. We're ready to lounge around at their house all summer!
Now, we have to get ready to be safe around the pool. :-)

Birthday Pictures

I took Jules to get some pictures taken for her third birthday. She did really well.

Spring...

Well, it looks like the weather is starting to get nicer. We're looking forward to some sunshine. Friday evening we went to the park on the way home. Nice day. Jules is getting brave. I followed her up to the highest slide!

Today, we went to the remodeled/renovated Museum of Natural Science and History. Jules has been several times with her Daddy... but this is the first time I've been. It was great. A couple of hours of hands on entertainment! Our friends have a membership so we didn't even have to pay. Also, Aunt Meredith's sister-in-law and nephew were in from San Antonio so we all had a fun time.
